Strategy
In order to meet the demands of an Internet/IT hungry world our approach
differs somewhat from "traditional" software design consulting firms. In our
experience, large multi-year projects are typically beyond the scope and resources
of the average small to mid-size business. In addition, design fundementals of larger
scale projects have proven difficult and costly to adjust even though the original
scope and or the underlying technologies have changed. Ultimately the client is left
with a large, outdated system that does not meet his or her company's needs.
Our approach, derived from methodologies based on the "Microsoft Frameworks", involves creating a vision statement
or project definition that encompasses the "big picture" goals of what needs to be accomplished. This generalized document
is then broken down into work modules or components (typically of a week or less). Each work module is then specified,
developed and reviewed independently. At completion of each module, a review is done on the "vision statement"/project
incorporating any changes in scope or technology.
This strategy offers several benefits:- Client interacts with designers/consultants at all phases rather than at the end.
- Project is dynamic and can change as scope or technology changes.
- Client's risk is minimized because the goals and modules are easily transferrable to other vendors and each work module
does not represent a large investment.
Your bottom line is the most critical aspect of our business.
It is our belief that design should be Simple, Modular AND Iterative.
Steps to success: Listen, Learn, Collaborate & Solve.
